Overview

"Dutchess" is going on the Hard!!! Time to make an offer!!!! This Contest 35' was manufactured in Holland and offers a true "Blue Water" cruising vessel that has a practically new 40hp 3-cylinder Yanmar engine with only 302 hours. This vessel was built to Lloyds of London standards by Contest Yachts,

This 35 footer is very spacious for her size, Her flush decks allow for easy movement on deck and a fantastic interior arrangement with great headroom. She boasts a spacious cockpit, construction details are all high end with a finely constructed teak interior and a molded fiberglass headliner. The rotating 3-blade Maxprop coupled with the "New" engine will keep this ship going over 6knts in most seas. Some exterior rub rail "rash" and a bit of TLC will have the hull looking great.

Interior Accommodations

"Dutchess" interior feels much larger than her 35' length would suggest.  Her flush deck with short trunk cabin creates huge interior volume with over  6' 2" headroom plus ample storage space.  The below decks accommodations are finished in teak with liberal use of solid wood throughout.  Her teak & holly cabin sole is in good shape and her headliner is molded fiberglass finished in smooth white gel-coat.  She will sleep six in two private staterooms plus berths in the main salon.

The forward "V" berth guest stateroom has infill cushions that create the feeling of a larger berth.  Storage shelves to port and starboard for your reading matter plus reading lamps at the head of the berth. A opening hatch provides ventilation.  Outboard to port are two tall hanging lockers.

Just aft of the forward stateroom is the full sized head.  Removable teak slats are installed in the cockpit area. Above and outboard along the hull are two lockers with a shelf above.  Aft along the bulkhead on the starboard side is a counter with a large sink.  Cold water with a extendable wand is included.  A mirror is mounted on the bulkhead  and a large hatch provides ample ventilation.

The salon offers a straight settee to port and a L-shaped settee to starboard.  A large table is mounted on center-line, a leaf to port extends the table to accommodate up to six guests. With the table lowered, a long comfortable berth can be found starboard.  Above and outboard of the settees, there are a series of lockers with a shelf above as well as two ports outboard.  Safety handrails run the length of the salon both port and starboard.

The U-shaped galley is aft and starboard in the main cabin.  Meal preparation is easy whether at anchor or under way.  There is ample counter & storage space for a vessel this size. Loads of storage space can be found in the galley area including a clever hinged trash bin locker.  The top loading refrigerator/freezer and a three burner Force 10 propane stove/oven make for quick and easy meal preparation. A large locker below provides ample storage space for pots and pans. A double stainless steel sink with pressurized water plus a fresh water foot pump. Beneath the sink is a large locker with shelves. There is an opening port in the galley.

Next comes the navigation station with a full size chart table with a hinged lifting top with storage beneath.  A bookshelf is mounted above with the vessels electrical panel adjacent.

The aft stateroom is is a  6'6" berth is 8' wide. There are lockers port and starboard with a shelf above. Next is a hanging locker and then there is a sink with a locker below and above.  Two opening ports that open into the cockpit add additional ventilation.  Reading lamps and overhead light illuminate this space.
