Originally a 1973 Hatteras Convertible, several custom builders around the globe knew a secret, that was not being duplicated in any of today's express fishing crafts. Solid glass hull, no coring and a low center of gravity would make this impossible to build and yet remain affordable. This is a custom built fishing/diving/sport machine that is unmatched in both performance, safety and stability anywhere on the market today. The current owner had a custom builder strip to the solid glass hull and refit the entire boat ultimately converting her into a custom Express. After a 2 year refit, this Hatteras Custom Express was completed and launched in 2004. Powered by Twin 480 hp Cummins diesels, with a 35MPH cruise and top speed near 40MPH she achieves better than 1 MPG cruise. Bottom paint, polish and teak are bristol, and dated 4/2012, includes a fresh Prop-Speed, she is TURN KEY and ready to fish or cruise.

Below decks you will find a custom bright white and blue fabrics, with high gloss teak accents and teak/holly sole. The large companionway steps from the lower helm with a full galley to starboard with wrap around counters, drawers and lockers above and below for storage. To port is a roomy head with standup shower and sink. Forward is a custom twin full V-berth that sleeps 4 comfortably with custom bunk system designed to convert to salon seating. Custom rod storage in hidden compartments behind V-Berths. All of this is climate controlled by twin A/C units!

The custom helm deck creates a huge covered seating area for guests. The beautiful starboard side helm has a pedestal helm seat with footrest. To port a long bench seat with cushions seats 4-6, chill plates underneath can be used for food/drinks or can double as fish boxes. To starboard just aft of the pedestal helm an additional bench seat makes cruising a comfortable covered conversation area best of all, the helm deck has A/C cooling vents as well!
